Steps for Accommodated Quizzes & Exams

  1. Make an appointment with our Coordinator, Elizabeth,  to complete your Letters of Accommodation for to take to your Professors for their signature. ekell@stfx.ca
  2. Identify your disability to your professors as early as possible. At this meeting, provide your professors with a Letter of Accommodation and inform them of any special requirements you may have i.e. use of a computer, scribe, or reader.
  3. Talk with our Program Assisstant/Exam Coordinator, Jacquie about your options for testing accommodations if you are having difficulties with your current accommodations. jwilson@stfx.ca
  4. Make sure that you get the best chance to show what you know on the quiz!
  5. When you have been told by your professor of the date and time of a quiz, please notify Jacquie of it immediately, so a room and proctor can be reserved.
  6. Remind your professor a few days before every test or exam that you require accommodation and that you will be taking the quiz at the Tramble Rooms. If the professor has any problem, have he/she call us at 5349. This is important, as the professor will not send over a quiz unless you have asked them to.
  7. Contact us if there are any changes to your quiz schedule, so we can notify the proctor.
  8. Show up promptly for your quiz or exam.
  9. See your professor for feedback on your quiz to see if you need to change your strategies.
