Chaplaincy is more than just worship within the walls of a church. At StFX, there are number of places were individuals, groups, and the community can gather to reflect, find a tranquil moment for prayer or reflection, and pause to embrace the spiritual dimension of the StFX experience.
The University Chapel is a landmark of Lower Campus. Its iconic steeple and melodious bells have been part of the StFX Campus since 1948. The Chapel offers Sunday mass at 11:00am and a 5:00pm Student Mass during the academic year. For more information about the Chapel, please click here.
This is a place of hospitality offered and run by the Sisters of St. Martha.
Located in Morrison Hall – just down the street from ‘Mini Moe’s – Wellspring is a place of comfort and quiet where students can rest, study, have a cup of tea, and just be.
The Coady International Institute is a premier hub for international leadership, development studies, community empowerment, and global cooperation. Located in the historic Lower Campus next to Xavier Hall, the Coady Complex is a first-class facility of classrooms, the Marie Macdonald Library, office space, breakout and group discussion rooms, and extensive exterior garden space. The Coady Meditation Room is a tranquil and interfaith space that can be utilized by StFX Community Members for reflection, contemplation, and prayer.
St. Ninian's Cathedral serves the Roman Catholic Diocese of Antigonish. It offers extensive faith outreach programs and liturgical services. For a detailed information mass times, please see Worship in Antigonish.
