Economics Society

The St. Francis Xavier Economics Society is a student organization working to enhance the student experience for students studying economics and complementary subjects at X. We welcome our society president Jamie Forsyth along with faculty advisor Jonathan Rosborough and vice president Dylan Gallant to the 2017-2018 X-Economics executive.

2017 will mark our 6th year as a society and we aim to build upon the strong trend of growth which has characterized the economics department over the past few years. Our goals are to build a strong community passionate about economics through peer advising, interaction with the department faculty, academic events including tutorials and guest lecturers, and to connect students with research, education, and employment opportunities.

The society is a great way for students to share opinions, ask questions, meet their professors, and gain academic advice. In attempting to further enhance a program with an already impressive rate of success from our many graduates, we encourage those who are studying or who simply have an interest in economics to come out and get involved!
