The Educational Administration and Policy Stream is designed to support the professional and academic learning of practicing educators who are seeking advanced study in relation to all aspects of educational leadership. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to explore the complexity of three main areas of leadership: Leadership and administrative theories and practices, instructional leadership and legal and policy dimensions of administration. The required core courses in the educational administration and policy stream, Leadership and Administrative Theories, Professional Development and Supervision, and Dynamics of Change are designed to explore both the theoretical and practical elements of educational leadership and policy. In addition to these three core courses, students may choose to specialize further in leadership by taking additional electives in the areas of school data management, school law, Inclusive and First Nations leadership, School effectiveness, the principalship or planning and policy.
