History & Personal Reflections 1969-2006, by Saru Sony
I have worked at the School of Nursing since 1997. I have held the position of Clinical Associate for four years, and have been holding the position of associate professor position since 2007. I currently teach N405: Nursing of Adults II, and N416: Nursing of Adults III. These courses are taught to senior students in the regular BScN program. In addition, I teach the clinical practicum associated with these courses.
I am honoured to be the Director of the School of Nursing at Saint Francis Xavier University and to have the opportunity to work with such committed students, faculty, and staff. An experienced nurse with a specialty designation in Neuroscience Nursing through the Canadian Nurses’ Association, I have completed degrees in nursing at the doctoral, masters, and baccalaureate level. I have worked as a nurse in Texas and Ontario in acute care, trauma, burns, neuroscience, and home visiting nursing.
