WINTER GROUP FITNESS CLASSES END - April 19, 2013

Punch pass or drop-in ticket required for all classes. All classes are approximately 50 minutes (may vary) in duration.

Classes are held at the Keating centre (KC) Dance studio and the Alumni Aquatic Centre (AAC) pool.  Current group fitness shedule now available for download.

COREability   
This class will target and challenge your core muscles focusing on strength, stability and all over flexibility.  All fitness levels welcome.

Cardio Mix up!
A cardio style class to increase the heart rate with the mix of abdominals and weight training, to hit all aspects of the body

Vinyasa Flow Yoga 
Vinyasa means “breath initiated movement” or simply flowing with the breath. This is a dynamic class open to all levels. Yoga postures are linked with the breath to increase strength and flexibility, while also promoting relaxation and stress release. Expect lots of movement, not just stretching!

NIA       Tues   10:00am 
A body-mind-spirit fitness and lifestyle practice that fuses nine different movement forms from the martial arts, healing and dance arts.  Nia is done in barefeet to world music and enhances stability, mobility, flexibiity, agility and strength.  A great cardio workout and a path to greater self awareness.  No experience is necessary, come out and enjoy.

Step it UP!   Wed  7:30pm
 the focus is on cardio fitness and lower body toning using the Step. But, don't worry because we'll finish this class with resistance training exercises so your entire body knows it had a great workout! Full body tone, heart health and just the right amount of calorie burn.

Bootcamp 
Tone up and get fit.  If you are new to bootcamp go at your own pace and push yourself too new limits

Cardio / Kick / Core 
Hi/Low Cardio and Kick box combinations guaranteed to burn calories and strengthen your heart. There's more...core work for a midsection you'll be proud of. We'll finish things off with a great s-t-r-e-t-c-h so you'll leave feeling energized yet relaxed.  Don't forget your water bottle! Motivation will be provided.

Circuit Blasts 
Blast through cardio and muscle conditioning while using a variety of equipment. Get the results you want with this total body workout.

Wake up Call  
Start your day off right with thie awesome total body workout.  Includes cardio, and strength training with a variety of equipment.

Zumba®  
Come “join the party”. Zumba® fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program. Come dance your way to fitness and enjoy the workout leaving you coming back for more!

Aqua Power   Mon, Wed, & Fri   9:00am   (AAC)  
A medium intensity water workout that will push you to your personal best!

Water Relief   Mon, Wed, & Thurs   10:00am (AAC)
A low intensity water workout that incorporates various stretches and motions to enhance your physical abilities. (beginner - intermediate)

Aquacise TBD
A medium intensity class that will challenge you to improve muscle endurance while improving your heart and lungs.

Aqua Arthritis   TBD
low intensity water workout that provides an increase range of motion for people suffering from limited mobility

Water Running   TBD
Come join the new “wave” in aqua fitness. A high energy deep water workout perfect to challenge your fitness leve


Please note:

  • Drop-in Fee or Punch pass required to enter class (purchase at Welcome desk)
  • No admittance to group fitness classes 10 minutes after posted class start time
  • No bags or outdoor footwear permitted in dance studio
  • Classes are filled on a first come first serve basis
  • Dance Studio Room  capacity:  Yoga: 30 participants, Aerobics:  40 participants
  • No Group fitness classes on Stat/Civic Holidays
