Participation
There really is something for everyone when it comes to intramurals. You don’t have to have any experience; we can find a level of play, or an activity that works for you. There are also lots of recreational activities and programs available, so please check out StFX Campus Recreation. See News and Updates for upcoming events and registration deadlines.
Register a Team
We have recently moved to an on-line registration process for entering teams in StFX Intramurals. Please follow the instructions on the form precisely in order to speed up your team entry.
Competitive Sport Clubs
The Competitive Sports Club program at StFX University is designed to provide additional opportunities for individuals interested in a specific sport to develop or improve their skills, to participate recreationally or competitively in leagues and competitions external to StFX, and establish social contacts. Sport clubs are voluntary, non-profit, student led organizations. Members assume the leadership and financial responsibilities of club activities, but are required to adhere to Department of Athletics & Recreation and University guidelines and policies.
Registered Competitive Sport Clubs are managed by StFX students and community members. The Competitive Sports Clubs are not funded or managed by the Department of Athletics & Recreation at StFX University. The programs are a service to members and are registered with the Department of Athletics & Recreation in order that they might schedule Department facilities, apply for use of certain services, and receive basic support for on campus sport club activities
Working or Volunteering
More than 100 students get involved in the organization and administration of StFX Intramurals. Our intramural program is one of the most vibrant in the nation and this is largely due to the efforts of our student stff, volunteers and participants.
We are always looking for activity supervisors, sport officials, scorekeepers and timekeepers. If you would like to get involved then please visit us at the Intramural Office, located just off the Loney Lounge in the Oland Center.
Working in intramurals is a great way to meet people, gain leadership experience and expand your resume. Volunteer and paid positions will be updated here in early September so please check back for application forms and other information.
