Hiring Process

·            Several roles are being available - Residence Assistant, House Director, and Proctor – applicants will be considered based on skills, knowledge, attitude, and experience

·            Applications will be reviewed and only suitable applicants will be contacted for an interview

·            All interview candidates will be notified of the final hiring decision in writing

 

Conditions of Employment

·            All candidates must be in good standing with the University

·            Student employees must remain in good standing with the University, and maintain a minimum 60% academic average.

·            Final applicants are vetted through the Director of Student Life office

·            Hold current Emergency First Aid Certification throughout employment

 

Remuneration and benefits

·         Weekly salaries and benefits are competitively based on a new compensation model. Further details will be provided at the group interview session.

 

Important Dates

·            Attend one of the general info sessions on February 6th or 8th, 2012 to learn more about these opportunities

·            Two interviews – group and individual – will be held. Interview candidates are expected to attend a group interview on February 10th 2012 from 2:30pm – 4:30pm. Second interviews will be held individually, on February 13th and 14th.

·            All Resident Life employees are required to attend training camp during August 24th 2012 to September 1st 2012. more details will be given during the summer months

·            Regular mandatory meetings, training workshops, and event will be held during the academic year. Schedules will be provided at the group interview sessions.
