The Career Planning involves many steps and is a dynamic and ever evolving process. Career planning takes time and effort. The following resources are meant to help students in the career planning process. Students are encouraged to contact the SCC with specific questions. We are here to help!

The Strong measures an individual’s interest in a broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities, and school subjects. It is used to help people understand their work interests and to illustrate the kinds of work in which they might be most satisfied. Students will be able to complete the Strong for a fee of $25.00. StFX students, who are interested in completing the Strong, can contact the Student Career Centre at scc@stfx.ca or 867-2296. Interested?complete and return the following Request form. |

Career Cruising is an online career guidance and planning system. Users can explore careers, education and training options. With assessment tools, detailed occupation profiles, and comprehensive post-secondary education information, users move seamlessly through the career exploration and planning process.
