Service Learning is a way to enrich your academic learning while being involved in the community. Each year, approximately 750 StFX students are involved in some sort of service learning opportunity.

StFX students can become involved in service learning experiences in one of three ways:

• To be involved in the local community, students enroll in courses that offer service learning assignments. In 2010-11, over 650 students participated in over 850 service learning experiences in the local community.
• For international service experiences, students can participate in the Immersion Service Learning program. In 2010-11, over 60 students travelled internationally with the ISL program.
• If students simply want to participate in one-time service events in the local community, they can join the Service Learning Society.
