Financial Aid

Money matters:
With the ever rising tuition for students in Nova Scotia, education is becoming more difficult for students to access. Here are some resources to help address some of the money challenges.

Financial Aid Office:
The Financial Aid Office administers the University Bursary program and offers information on student loan contacts and external sources of scholarships, awards and bursaries. They also assist students with personal financial planning and can provide small emergency loans for students in immediate financial need that they cannot meet by other means.

Food Insecurity:
Sometimes budgeting and student loans are simply not enough. Additional expenses and surprise fees may leave students making decisions between getting groceries and paying rent. The Student Food Bank, located in the Municipal Building, 42 West St., across from New Rez, is a free and confidential service provided by the Students’ Union. They also can provide information on good eating habits and healthy living.
