Resident Assistants (RAs)
RAs are student staff who live in all of the Traditional Style and Suite Residences and are a primary resource for all residence students. StFX employs RAs to ensure residence is a safe and secure environment conducive to academic, social, and personal development.
House Directors (HDs)
HDs are members of the StFX community appointed by the University to the residence life staff to be an advisor, educator, resource and support to the residents. HDs are students who are usually in their third year of university or above. House Directors establish positive relationships with residents by being visible and approachable members of their house. Their role is to get to know the students in their house and to act as a resource for students and residence staff.
