Nancy has a Bachelor of Education (Univeristy of Saskatchewan), a Master of Adult Education (STFX) and a Doctor of Philosophy (University of Saskatchewan). Her recent work focuses on reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, catalyzing changes in the beliefs and attitudes of dominant groups. Her thesis explored factors which enabled white, "settler" Canadians to become allies with the Mi'kmaq in Nova Scotia. A community based adult educator with an interest in participatory community deelopment and transformative learning, Nancy has been providing research and training support for non-profit organizations in Canada, Thailand, and Nepal since 1989. Areas of professional expertise include: women's leadership and gender equity including LGBTQ issues; violence prevention, intercultural training, monitoring and evaluation. She has desinged non-formal workshops and post secondary courses and enjoys working with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
