  Kristy Depper is a photographic artist motivated by the effects of socio-political privileging on the concepts of individuality and community. Her work employs a form of mapping and conceptual documentary to frame social experiences related to the notions of community and the construction of identity. 

Kristy holds an MFA from NSCAD University (2014), an Honours BFA from Ryerson University (2012) and a Diploma in Applied Photography from Sheridan College (1999). She’s worked as a a commercial digital retoucher for nearly 20 years with images regularly featured in magazines such as Canadian House and Home, Style at Home, Canadian Gardening, Canadian Living, LCBO and Enroute. Passionate about photography and digital imaging, Kristy first began teaching in the late 90’s and has since developed and delivered courses at Sheridan College, NSCAD and now St FX.
