Murray Gibson studied graphic design and textiles at the Alberta College of Art & Design, from which he graduated with an Honours Diploma in Textiles in 1985. He later obtained his MA Textiles from Goldsmith's College, The University of London (UK). He has also trained in Computer Graphics at Sheridan College. Murray has taught numerous Adult Education classes in tapestry weaving and design, as well as developing and teaching a Textile Arts programme for Nunavut Arctic College in Pangnirtung, Baffin Island. His tapestries hang in numerous private, corporate, and public collections across Canada, the United States, Austria, and Australia.
