Spanish Specialization

The Faculty of Education and the Spanish Department of St. Francis Xavier University are collaborating to offer a specialization in Spanish beginning in the 2013-14 school year.  Increasingly, across Canada and throughout North America, the demand for Spanish teachers is on the rise and StFX Education graduates will soon be able to take advantage of these opportunities.

Spécialisation en Français

French Education students are considered specialists if they have completed a minimum of 18 or 30 credits in French at the undergraduate level and complete the sequence of French Education courses offered in the B.Ed. program.

At the Faculty of Education, we offer some unique specializations which are not commonly found in the region. These programs provide prospective teachers with the necessary training and experience to qualify for teaching positions in areas which are currently in demand. Our expertise is well-known in the areas of French, both Core and Immersion, with over 300 graduates in the last fifteen years.
