The President's Committee On The Moses M. Coady Debating Tournament

1. The Moses M. Coady Debating Tournament shall be continued.

2. The Tournament shall be operated each year during the fall term.

3. The operation of the Tournament shall be the responsibility of The President's Committee.

STRUCTURE
(a) A Chair chosen from the St. F. X. community (Administration, Staff, Faculty, Students) and appointed by the President for a one-year term (renewable).

(b) Three members chosen from the Faculty, Administration, or Staff and appointed by the President for one-year terms (renewable).

(c) Three members chosen from the St. F. X. Debating Society and appointed by the President for one-year terms (renewable).

All appointments shall be made by January 15.

TERMS
(a) The Committee shall draft a proposed budget and present that budget to the President prior to April 15. The Chair shall be responsible for the administration of any approved budget.

(b) The Committee shall operate the Tournament during the fall term.

(c) The Committee shall report on the Tournament prior to December 15. This report shall include a financial statement. This report may include recommendations for appointments to the Committee, including the position of Chair. Recommendations as to appointments shall not be made unless they have the unanimous consent of the Committee. The President is not bound by these recommendations.
