Health Occupation Showcase

 

This Showcase will provide an opportunity for students to meet with individuals who work in the health field and learn about working conditions, education requirements, likes/dislikes, and etc.  It is our hope students who participate in this event will be able to make informed decisions about their career choices and pursue a career in a health profession.

The goal of this showcase is introduce students to a variety of health occupations. In hosting this event we are providing an opportunity for students to meet with individuals who work in the health field and to exchange information about working conditions, education requirements, likes/dislikes, etc. It is our hope students who participate in this event will be able to make an informed decision about their career choice and pursue a career in a health profession.

We are looking for health professionals who are interested in volunteering two hours of their time to meet with students. We will have tables with signage to let students know which occupation is being represented. 
  
What do you need to bring?  Please bring yourself and willingness to answer students' questions. If your profession has "career-related" information, you can bring a few copies. However, we hope to direct students to online resources.

 

The showcase will take place Thursday, November 16, 2017 | Time: 7:00pm to 9:00pm | Location: MacKay Rm/Lounge
