Wildland Firefighters

The Alberta Government is recruiting wildland firefighters for the 2018 fire season. This is a great opportunity for students to earn a good summer income, gain valuable work experience, and have lots of fun in the Alberta outdoors. Attached is a copy of our recruitment advertisement bulletin that we ask that you post on your job and information boards.

The Wildfire Management Branch of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry is hiring Initial Attack firefighters (Helitack/ Helitack Rappel crews) and Sustained Action Unit Crews for the 2018 fire season.
Persons with a dedication to fitness, teamwork and safety will be considered for positions on these firefighting crews.
Prior to training camp, all candidates must have and be able to show proof of: a valid standard first aid certificate with CPR, a driver's license, defensive driving certificate, and a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
