Accessible Learning

The program for Students with Learning Differences, now called The Tramble Rooms – Centre for Accessible Learning, supports students with disabilities in becoming self-advocates and active participants in the StFX community and beyond. This includes working with students to develop learning strategies that will be effective in the university environment and services such as arranging for physically accessible classroom space, making contact with volunteer tutors, or assistance in arranging for tests and exams to be written under alternate conditions. Students with disabilities are also available to speak to community and university groups or meet with high school students with disabilities who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education, raising awareness around students with disabilities and the available programming at StFX.
